Former COAS General Kazir Is The New BOBA President

A former Chief of Army Staff, Major General Alwali Jauji Kazir (rtd) have been elected as National President of Barewa Old Boys Association (BOBA) for the next 4byears.

He was elected during the Annual General Meeting of the association  held at Sultan Sa’ad Abubakar Assembly hall at the weekend.

Speaking to the BOBA family,General Kazir  assured them of good leadership and the transformation of the association.

He said, his leadership is going to focus on digitalizing the association through creating a DATABase website.

The new President  appealed to members to recommitted themselves by constant attending meetings and paying their dues.

According to him the new executives will only succeed if members cooperate and support their activities.

General Alwali Jauji Kazir promised to transformed the association by assisting members and their alma mata Barewa College Zaria.

In his remarks the elected Secretary General Professor Nasuruddeen Usman said, the new task is to deliver as expected by members.

Professor Usman seek prayers and support from BOBA family on this noble assignment they are carrying in the next 4 years.

The new Secretary General is the immediate past Public Relation Officer of BOBA.

Alhaji Sule Lamido and Alhaji Ibrahim Mamu were nominated into the Board of Trustees replacing the lost ones the likes of Alhaji Jibo and Justice Lawal Uwais.

During the AGM the amended BOBA constitution was formally presented by the Chairman of the occasion Former Head of States General Yakubu Gowon (rtd) who was represented by Professor Saka Nuru.

This years AGM has in attendance a former Governor of Jigawa State, Alhaji Sule Lamido, and Malam Nasiru El-Rufa’i of Kaduna State, Ambassadors, Senior Military officers, Top Senior Civil servant and Business magul.
