NPC Commissioner Hajiya Sa'adatu Garba Dogon Bauchi, visit Giwa local Government Area
The Honorable Federal Commissioner of the National Population Commission (NPC), Hajiya Sa'adatu Garba Dogonbauchi, today conducted a high-level sensitization visit to Giwa Local Government Area. The engagement focused on mobilizing key stakeholders and community leaders for the forthcoming digital population and housing census.
The visit aimed to galvanize support at the grassroots level and ensure widespread public awareness of the census process. Commissioner Dogonbauchi emphasized the critical importance of a successful census for effective national planning and development. She also expressed the Commission's profound gratitude to the Kaduna State Governor for his unwavering support, which has been instrumental in facilitating the NPC's outreach across all 23 local government areas in the state.
The Executive Chairman of Giwa LGA, Honorable *Ahmed Samaila Abdullahi Yakawada* warmly received the delegation. Chairman Samaila pledged the local government's full commitment to the success of the exercise and, in a notable gesture of appreciation, conferred the honorary traditional title of *"Yar Gatan Giwa"* upon Commissioner Dogonbauchi in recognition of her dedicated efforts.
The event culminated in strong pledges of collaboration from a broad coalition of community stakeholders, including representatives from traditional institutions, religious bodies, women and youth groups, and security personnel.
