Chairman of Sabon Gari Local Government Distributes More Scholarships to Students (Phase 4)

The Chairman of Sabon Gari Local Government, Honorable Abubakar Jamilu Albani Samaru (ALGON), has continued the distribution of scholarships to students in the local government area, where nearly 100 students received support in the fourth phase of the program.

This scholarship initiative is one of the ways the chairman is using to promote education within the local government. The launching event was held at the main conference hall within the secretariat premises in Dogarawa, where the chairman was represented by the Vice Chairman of the local government, Honorable Abdulkareem Kamilu.

In his speech, he praised the efforts of the chairman, noting that it would be shameful if they failed to work sincerely under such dedicated leadership. He added that their goal is to ensure that young people are educated, saying, “Giving someone education is like giving them the whole world.”

He also praised Governor Uba Sani for the continuous support he has been giving in the areas of education and other development projects.

He urged the scholarship beneficiaries to make good use of the opportunity for their personal growth and the benefit of society at large.

Likewise, the Kaduna State House of Assembly member representing Basawa, Hon. Sani Basawa, also expressed his happiness with the scholarship initiative. He said this effort reflects the seriousness local government leaders are attaching to education. He also commended the governor for his support.

The Secretary of the Education Committee of Sabon Gari Local Government, who spoke to journalists after the event, stated that all the beneficiaries followed due process and met all the set criteria. He also praised the chairman for his dedication to the education sector.

Among the beneficiaries was a student Abdul rahamar Shanwil who expressed his joy and gratitude to the chairman, praying that God rewards him abundantly.

Saliha, a female student who also benefited from the scholarship, said she was very happy, especially because the process was fair and just. She prayed for success and blessings for Honorable Albani, wishing him well both in this world and the hereafter.

After the event, the students who received the scholarship sang songs of praise and farewell to Governor Uba Sani, wishing him a fruitful and impactful life.

The event was peaceful from start to finish.
