The Chairman of Sabon Gari Local Government and also the Chairman of the Association of Local Government Chairmen in Kaduna State (ALGON), Honorable Sheikh Muhammad Jamilu Abubakar Albani Samaru, has provided financial assistance to members of the shoe repairers' association in Samaru Market, who were recently evicted from the locations where they had been conducting their business.

During an event held in the main hall of the local government secretariat in Dogarawa, Hon. Jamilu Abubakar explained that the aid was given after assessing the difficult situation these artisans found themselves in following their eviction.

He emphasized that Governor Uba Sani’s administration is compassionate and just, which prompted the decision to support these tradesmen in order to alleviate their hardship.

According to him, a sum of ₦500,000 was set aside as the initial financial support for the association, which would serve as a starting point to help revive their trade.

After receiving the support, the Chairman of the Samaru Shoe Repairers Association, Muhammad Sani, expressed his gratitude and pledged that they would continue to support the APC party at all levels, in appreciation of the government’s concern and assistance.

The event was attended by notable guests, including the Vice Chairman of the local government, Hon. Kamilu Abdul-Kareem, Hon. Sani Jibirin Cikaji, and other key stakeholders.

In conclusion, scholars and religious leaders offered prayers and blessings for the local government chairman, commending his commitment and efforts towards the development of Sabon Gari.
