Livestock Minister Commissions Multi Nutrient Moor Lick Factory In Zaria

The Minister of Livestock Development Alhaji Idi Mukhtar Maiha has commissioned a Multi Nutrients Moor Lick Factory in Zaria, saying it is a groundbreaking animal nutritional supplement that promises to revolutionize livestock farming in Nigeria
Maiha said the Livestock sector is not just an economic pillar but a lifeline for millions of Nigerians.
He added that this vital sector faces challenges of value chain and others such as feed shortages, disease outbreaks and climate change.
According to him the Ministry has taken a bold step towards addressing one of these critical issues nutritional deficiencies in our livestock.
The Minister maintained that Moor Lick is more than a product, it is a solution rooted in innovation and science.
He said, by providing essential minerals and nutrients, this supplement will enhance animal health, improve productivity and ultimately increase the income of the farmers.
Alhaji Mukhtar Maiha said, on the other hand , deficiency in one or more trace elements may negatively affect the health and immune system of the animal.
"As we lunched this product, let us remember that its success depends on collaboration and urged livestock farmers and breeders to embrace this innovation as an essential to grow their livestock business ".
He also urged private sector partners to invest more in livestock value chain to make such vital products accessible and affordable across Nigeria.
The Minister added that with products like Moor Lick Nigeria can address nutritional gaps while ensuring food security and economic growth, poverty reduction in our country.
In his remarks the emir of Zazzau Malam Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli commended Dr. Alimi Bello for his courage in establishing the company which is the first of its kind in the whole of Africa.
Emir Bamalli who expressed his rediness to support the company to meet its mission.
He called on the stakeholders to join hand with Moor Lick by patronizing its products.
He also shows his interest in livestock farming saying it his dream to livestock farm.
Earlier in his welcome address the Managing Director Medhal Nigeria Ltd Dr. Abdul Alimi Bello who appreciate the support he received from the emir of Zazzau who always been a pillar of support.
Dr. Alimi Bello also described appreciation to the Minister of Livestock for his ccommitment to the development of Livestock industry in Nigeria.
The Managing Director said, Medhal Nigeria Ltd have sponsored undergraduate and Post graduate at Facultyof Vetinary Medicine of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria.
