Prof Adamu Ahmed has intellectual capacity to pilot ABU's affairs, according to FUTD Vice-Chancellor

The newly appointed Vice-Chancellor of Ahmadu Bello University, Prof Adamu Ahmed, has the intellectual capacity to pilot the affairs of the institution.
This was disclosed by Prof Umar Adamu Katsayal, the Vice-Chancellor, Federal University of Transportation, Daura (FUTD).
Katsayal called on Prof Ahmed to congratulate him on assuming office as ABU Vice-Chancellor.
Prof. Katsayal, who came alongside FUTD's other Principal Officers, told Ahmed that they were in ABU to congratulate him and pray for him to have a successful and productive tenure.
"Running a university is very challenging; but I believe Prof. Ahmed has the intellectual capacity to pilot the affairs of the institution", he said.
Prof. Katsayal advised the new Vice-Chancellor to utilize powers given to him judiciously as the Chief Executive Officer of the University.
ABU, according to him, was a mother institution in the north that "when it moves, all other institutions in the region will also move forward".
The FUTD Vice-Chancellor, who disclosed that 94 of his staff were ABU graduates, explained that a lot of ABU staff were at his university on sabbatical, some on secondments and others visiting.
He sought more collaborations with ABU in terms of practicals, because most of their courses were technical.
Responding, the Vice-Chancellor, Ahmadu Bello University, Prof Adamu Ahmed, welcomed Prof. Katsayal home and thanked him for the visit.
He said that he was elated that previous efforts were not wasted and that FUTD would not have had a better Vice-Chancellor than Prof. Katsayal.
The Vice-Chancellor assured Prof. Katsayal that he would do the needful to ensure that the courses run at FUTD were not truncated.
Those, who supported the Vice-Chancellor in receiving the guests, were Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Administration, Prof. Ahmed Doko Ibrahim and representative of the Registrar, Dr. Aliyu Dalha Kankia.
Others were Ag. Chief Security Officer, Malam Ashiru Tijjani Zango; Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Prof. J.M Kaura; and Special Assistant to the Vice-Chancellor, Malam Auwal Yusuf Mohammed, among others.
