On Monday, the Chairman of the Kaduna State Chapter of ALGON and the Chairman of Sabon Gari Local Government, Honorable Abubakar Jamilu Albani Samaru, visited two schools where scholarship screening exams for NECO and NBAIS candidates were being conducted.
The examination is aimed at supporting underprivileged students and orphans from various parts of Sabon Gari Local Government. About 800 students are benefiting from this initiative.
Our correspondent visited the two schools to witness the proceedings firsthand. He confirmed that Hon. Albani personally sponsored the exam, giving students who cannot afford it an opportunity to further their education.
According to Malam Muhammad, who supervised the exam in Samaru, everything went smoothly and fairly, with no favoritism, political influence, or ethnic bias. He said the process was conducted according to the plan laid out by the local government chairman, and the students participated enthusiastically. They are now waiting for the exam results to be released.
Hafsat Muhammad from Samaru, one of the students who sat for the exam, expressed her gratitude to the sponsor and prayed for his success in all his endeavors.
Another student, Yusha'u Sani from Basawa, also appreciated the chairman and wished him well.
