BY SANI ALIYUZaria

Mr. Destiny Odo the Landlord of a property situated at no.5 Crescent road Sabon Gari, Local Government  has issued a quit notice to his tenant Mr. Nduka as a means of reclaiming his property for further development.

The quit notice was served in September 2022.  and later he withdraw the notice but he increased the tenant rate from N350.000 to N600.000 which Nduka as a tenant did not acknowledged the new rent which led to the issuing a quit notice on  the 11th September 2022.

On the 13th January 2023  the tenant Mr. Nduka made a transfer of the sum of N1.350.000.00 to Mr. Destiny which he did'nt acknowledge the payment becouse quit notice was serve already.

Mr. Nduka Nlemchukwu  through his Lawyer Barrister Samson Babajide claimed that the payment made has not make any difference since the Landlord Mr. Nduka has tendered an appology Letter to Mr. Destiny in writing to that issue through his Lawyer  Barrister. Friday Okeke.

Even though Mr. Destiny said the payment was under paid and suggested that if Mr. Nduka want to maintain the property he should pay the new rentof N600.000. not the old rent of N350.000.

Even though Barrister Okeke Lawyer to Mr. Destiny said he dont have issues with the late payment but the underpayment.

The Landlord stance was the tenant to vacate the property despite efforts by the tenant Lawyer to settle the matter.
