It was hundreds of women who were small business owners that gathered at the main residence of Honorable Garba Datti Babawo in GRA Sabon Gari Zaria, Kaduna State, following an invitation by the Chairman of Sabon Gari Local Government, Honorable Abubakar Jamilu Albani Samaru, in order for them to receive a special aid from him.

The Chairman gave items to women who were into "Awara" business in order for them to be self-reliant.

During the event, the Local Government Chairman assured that the plan will continue to exist so that all parts, both men and women, who own small businesses will receive the support in Sabon Gari Local Government.

The event was attended by the Vice Chairman, Sabon Gari Local Government, Hon. Kamilu Abdulkareem (Dan Madami), and all those who assist the Local Government Chairman in discharging his duties.

After the distribution of the aid, the Local Government Chairman promised the women that he will ensure they continue their formal education, out of his own concern for their lives, and, to some he promised that whenever they are getting married he will provide his own assistance to them.

The Chairman called on the women present who attended from different constituencies of the Sabon Gari Local Government to carry on with their businesses with peace of mind because it was a gift he presented to them not a loan.

At the end, he commended Kaduna State governor, Senator Uba Sani, for his support to them in order to strengthen the people, saying they are short of words, however, they will only hope for him the best and Allah's protection, he then promised to continue with his efforts.

An old woman, Murja from Anguwar Muciya, who happened to be one of the beneficiaries of the aid in an interview with the press said her husband died and left her with orphans and that it was through Soya Awara business that she was feeding them and taking care of their schooling, she thus expressed her appreciation to the AlGON Chairman for adding capital to her during the event.

Mama Hakima also commended Honorable Abubakar Jamilu Albani Samaru for the aid he gave them for the development of their businesses.

The event was organized and concluded peacefully.
