KADCSDA General Manager Visit to Zazzau Emirate council and Presentation of Compendium of Report and Pictorial Achievements.
The Kaduna State Community and Social Development Agency (KADCSDA) earlier today embarked on an visit to the Emir, Zazzau Emirate Council, Zaria.
This engagement is a pre-requisite in the community development plan cycle (CDP). As such, it is a continuous activity throughout the life of the agency.
It is one amongst many activities of the agency aimed at creating awareness/sensitization, educate and sell the agency's activities to stakeholders especially the traditional institutions who are the custodians of the poor & vulnerable people in our respective communities.
In his Presentation, the General Manager KADCSDA, Dr. Muhammed Mu'azu Mukaddas showcased how the agency has worked tirelessly to achieve outstanding results in the areas of Education, Health, Water, sanitation & Hygiene, Labour Intensive Public Workfare (LIPW) and Livelihood support.
The agency was able to implement 187 micro projects in 177 communities across the 23 LGAs of the state with a breakdown according to sector as follows:
Education - 77 blocks of classrooms were renovated.
Health - 13 health care centres were renovated.
Water - 81 motorized boreholes were drilled.
LIPW - 5,112 beneficiaries.
Livelihood Support - 1,335 beneficiaries.
Lastly, the GM emphasized on the need for a synergy and collaboration between the agency and the emirate council especially in the area of sensitization and awareness creation to communities in order for them to express interest and submit EOI letters to the agency, so as to be captured into the database of the agency and given intervention in due course. This intervention, he believed will bring about grassroot development across the state inline with the visionary mantra of His Excellency, Sen. UBA Sani led administration.
In his remark, HRH Amb. Dr. Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli CFR the Emir of Zazzau applauded efforts & achievements of the agency thus far, and requested that more interventions be given to communities in order to improve their access to livelihood as well as basic infrastructural development. He acknowledged Dr. Mukaddas' positive leadership strides and wished the agency all the best as it gears up to roll out its 2025 projects.
