Timber Dealers Association Zaria Elect Abaye As Chairman

Alhaji Ahmadu Abaye has been elected as the new Chairman Timber Dealers Association Zaria with 237 votes in a keen contest by defeating two other contestants.

The elections was held at the premises of Era International College Railway, Zaria on Saturday.

Other officers elected are Yunusa Gambo Garba as Vice Chairman with 316 votes, Ibrahim Alhassan as Secretary General with 283 votes and Haruna Halilu as Assistant Secretary.

Alhaji Jazuli is the elected Financial Secretary , Abdullahi Usman is the Treasurer , Abdullahi Abdulhadi is the Auditor and Nura Abubakar was elected the association's PRO.

Speaking after the declaration of results the Vice Chairman Sabon Gari Local Government Council Abdulkareem Kamilu  expressed satisfaction with the way and manner members conducted themselves during and after the elections.

He congratulates both the winners and the losers for  their maturity which lead the success of the elections to be hitch free and fair.

In his acceptance remarks the elected chairman Alhaji Ahmadu Aboye thanks Almighty Allah for making him to lead his association which is a task that need his guidance.

Alhaji Aboye extended a hand of fellowship to all that have contested for any position and lost to come together and join hands to move the Timber business forward.

He appealed to members to give them the maximum support and cooperation with prayers to enabled him do his best.

In his ward of advise a leading member in the Timber business Alhaji Alwa'u Bunkure charged the elected executives to fear Allah in discharging their respective duties.

Alwa'u Bunkure also appealed to members to support them with good advises and support them with prayers.
