Police Re-arrange A Retire Upper Shari'a Court Judge For Assaulting A Blind Housewife In Zaria

A ritired Upper Shari'a Court Judge has been Re-arranged and granted bail by a Magistrate Court sitting at Chediya GRA Zaria for inner tracefassing, used of force and assaulting a housewife who is a blind person contrary to section 327,237 and 239 of penal code law of Kaduna State 2017.
Inspector Adamu Abubakar the prosecuting officer told the Court that on the 6th of September 2024 one Garba Adda' u a resident of Gonar Ganye Tudun Jukun Zaria made a complain at Tudun Wada Divisional Police Office that one Mahmoud Shehu lucked up their main gate and follow his wife who is a blind person into her room and beats her along side of two ladies trying to give her cover.
The Prosecutor also said, Mahmoud Shehu's action resulted to be at the PHC Tudun Wada for medical attention.
When the Court ask the defendant Mahmoud Shehu if he committed the offense mentioned he denied the commiting the offense read to him.
Senior Magistrate Ibrahim Adamu Salisu granted the bail on conditions that N100.000, Two sureties must be a civil servants on GL10 and they should deposit their promotion Letters to that Level with Passport and full address and their phone numbers on failing to meet the bail requirements Mahmoud Shehu should be remanded at the Correctional facility to the adjourned date 11th February 2025 for hearing.
It could be recalled that the case was first filed on the 10th September 2024 at Magistrate Court Tudun Wada Zaria but after series of adjournment the presiding Judge Senior Magistrate Lukman Sidi with draw from the case and transferred it to Chief Magistrate Court 1 Chediya for reassigning.
