Northern Governors and Traditional Rulers Hold Meeting in Kaduna

The 19 governors of Northern Nigerian states held a crucial meeting with prominent traditional rulers from the region, in an effort to address security challenges, economic issues, and overall community development. The meeting took place in the city of Kaduna under the leadership of the Governor of Gombe State, Alhaji Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, who currently chairs the Northern Governors’ Forum.
Similarly, the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar III, who is also the head of Nigeria’s Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, led the delegation of traditional rulers at the meeting.
The gathering focused on discussions around strategies for achieving sustainable peace in the Northern region and strengthening collaboration between the governors and traditional rulers to attain the region’s development goals.
