International Studies And Diplomacy Alumni Disburses N1.6m Scholarship To 24 ABU Indigent Students

The Internationa Studies and Diplomacy Alumni Association, Ahmadu Bello University Zaria have disbursed N1.6 m scholarship to 24 indigent students studying International studies and Diplomacy..
Amb. Muntari Abdu Kaita President of the association who stated this during the scholarship award presentation held at the Vice Chancellor's office at Main Campus Samaru.
He said, the scholarship for the indigent students is initiated by the national body of the association with 22 students from the association while 2 were given to female students by an Alumni Madam Surikat.
According to him the beneficiaries were carefully selected after intensive screening and found them worthy to benefit from the scholarship. .
The association show of concern on students with supportive problem to continue with their studies as each student received N69.000.00 .
The National President told the Vice Chancellor that they are planing to organize a Symposium in September 2025
In his remarks the Vice Chancellor Ahmadu Bello University Zaria Professor Kabiru Bala charged other departments Alumni to emulate International Studies and diplomacy by given support to indigent students in their departments.
He said, if other departments in the University followed International studies and diplomacy steps by supporting indigent students with sholarship it will touch the life of many students whom their academic activities is facing serious problems.
Professor Kabiru Bala commended the association for assisting the indigent students despite what they are doing to uplift the department by renovating and remodeling its Library.
The Vice Chancellor also appreciates the associations plan to organize a Symposium comes September 2025.
Some of the beneficiaries Ada Blessing Anabi and Goker Rit Rex Emmanuel expressed their appreciation to the association for the gesture which give them comfort to their studies.
