VP in Madina
Vice President Kashim Shettima yesterday visited the hallowed grounds of the Prophet’s Mosque (Masjid an-Nabawi) in Madinah, one of Islam’s most revered sanctuaries.
Accompanied by The Governor of Borno State, Prof. Babagana Umara Zulum; Engr. Ibrahim Umar of the Nigerian Ports Authority; and officials from the Nigerian Mission in Saudi Arabia, the Vice President prayed for peace, unity, and prosperity—not only for Nigeria but for the entire world.
The highlight of the visit was his entry into the Raudah, the “Garden of Paradise,” a small, spiritually charged area nestled between the Prophet Muhammad’s (SAW) pulpit and his resting place—a site that draws millions of Muslims seeking divine proximity, peace, and a profound connection with Allah.
Speaking later after the historic visit, the Vice President expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to visit this sacred location, which features prominently in the exemplary life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
